Originally from a rural town near San Diego, Meech (she/her) moved to Durham, North Carolina three years ago to pursue her passion of environmental advocacy.
She believes that national parks and the preservation of accessible outdoor spaces are keys to a strong, sustainable democracy. Meech is currently the Clean Energy Campaigns Director at the North Carolina League of Conservation Voters. Before joining NCLCV, Meech completed her Masters of Environmental Management at Duke. Meech also holds a Master of Science in Law from Northwestern and a dual BS in biology and geology from UCLA. Outside of work, she enjoys making pottery, throwing axes in her local league, and reading horror novels
