Prior to joining NPCA, Luke held a number of roles working in the California Desert. He has spent most of his professional life as a field person working in and interpreting the desert landscape so that he can get more people to fall in love with it.

Luke has also worked in areas like endangered species management, outdoor recreation of all kinds, and land management building relationships with partners in those communities along the way to make him as well-rounded of a desert conservationist and advocate as possible.

Luke was born and raised in Barstow, California and currently lives in Joshua Tree, California with his partner Gabrielle, daughter Isabelle and about a dozen reptiles.
