Lillian O. Haynes is a biliterate, university & departmental honors student who attended Texas A&M and graduated in 2026 with a BA in International Affairs, with minors in Spanish and Hispanic Studies. She is an Undergraduate Research Scholar, having earned awards for her bilingual capstone on coastal access disputes in Puerto Rico. She is currently earning her Master’s Degree in International Affairs at The Bush School of Government and Public Service.
During her upbringing, she lived throughout Latin America, developing a passion for sustainable public policy, as evidenced by her GGYA Gold Recognition, Round Square King Constantine Medal, and Peace Corps Certification. Lillian serves as President of TAMU UNICEF, the President of the John Quincy Adams Society, a member of the Bush Ambassadors, and the founder of a mental health non-profit—Project dear Kiara. Her work experience includes U.S. federal employment, international nonprofits, and advocacy centers.
Through the Texas Young Leaders Council, she looks forward to networking with fellow students, advocating for her region’s national parks, and lessening accessibility gaps across the U.S.. She cannot wait to get started!
