Jarrod brings more than a decade of fundraising and philanthropy experience to serve the incredible donors and partners who support NPCA. Having spent years supporting arts education and higher-education institutions, he is thrilled to bring his abilities to advocate for and protect his greatest passion, the national parks and the natural world.

As an avid bikepacker, backpacker, packrafter, and generally nature-minded, Jarrod has visited at least one National Park every year of his life and sees them as his happy places. He counts Sequoia and Kings Canyon, Canyonlands, Glacier, and Grand Canyon National Parks amongst his favorites, and seeks to share the majesty of these places with others and inspires them to develop their own connections through personal experiences.

He received his Bachelors of Music in Trumpet Performance from California State University, Long Beach, and a Masters of Arts in Nonprofit Management from Antioch University. He and his partner, a climate change scientist and professor, enjoy regular trips to national parks and seek to put into practice the environmental conservation and sustainable resources principles they espouse across all aspects of everyday life.
