Jack Ramirez was raised in South Florida, currently attending Florida International University. He is currently pursuing his bachelors of science in Environmental Studies and minor in Marine Biology. He aims to pursue a career in conservation.

Before he even knew what conservation was, Jack always felt a passion for protecting the Earth. This passion then deepened in high school where he fully enthralled himself in every environmental science course and elective available to him. He’d also visit county, state, and national parks with his family, learning about local flora and fauna.

Eager to further his impact in conservation, he began assisting in agroecology research, running an experiment of his own within his first semester of beginning college. Shortly after, he began studying South Florida seaweed varieties and ecological relations. He hopes to further national park appreciation through NPCA’s Youth Leaders Council, specifically spreading knowledge on the ecosystem services they provide to humans and wildlife alike.
