As Associate Director of Foundation Relations, Cathleen Gallagher writes and manages grants and develops fundraising strategies for NPCA’s regional and national programs.

Cathleen is a proud D.C.-area native, hailing from just across the city line in Cheverly, Maryland. She joined NPCA as the associate director of foundation relations in spring 2017, bringing with her nearly eight years of nonprofit fundraising experience. She is a graduate of Oberlin College with a bachelor’s degree in history and is currently finishing up her master’s degree in public administration at the Trachtenberg School at George Washington University.

As a history enthusiast and student of government, Cathleen is thrilled to work with NPCA to protect and preserve some of this nation’s most important historic and natural places. On the weekends you can usually find her enjoying the outdoors or at one of D.C.’s many museums.
