Ashley Postlewait is a recent graduate from Florida Gulf Coast University, where she majored in Environmental Studies with a double minor in Climate Change and Journalism.

Ashley has a growing passion for educating the public on the importance of environmental advocacy and restoration. She believes that everyone plays a role in the health and well-being of the environment, and the only way to combat challenges such as climate change, and poor air quality is to do it together!

Ashley was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, but she grew up going to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where her love for the environment developed. It wasn’t until she studied the diverse ecosystems of Florida at FGCU that she realized how beautiful the environment around her was. NPCA helped grow her passion for the Florida environment by offering her an internship in 2022 and a scholarship for the Everglades Coalition Conference in 2023. She is looking forward to the opportunities that the Young Leaders Council will offer her!
