Alejandra Leon is a passionate and curious advocate who is constantly trying to gain new knowledge on how to better herself in order to better the world around her. She loves being a student of life and absorbing information from everything around her.
As a South Gate native, she did not have a lot of exposure to the outdoors growing up. Due to a lack of greenspace in her community, she has become more intentional about creating pockets of time outdoors and hoping to push for more parks locally. She values human connection and loves meeting new people and listening to their stories. Being out in nature and connecting with the land, plants, and wildlife is very therapeutic and helps to ground her. She hopes one day be able to combine her love for wellness, the outdoors, education and youth as a future passion hobby. Alejandra loves cats, reading, being in forests, hiking, yoga, vegan food, native plants, reality tv, thrifting, and discovering new ways to become more sustainable. One of her bucket list items is to visit every national park in the United States, and she currently has gone to 11 out of the 63!
