To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the opening of the site of the Waco Mammoth National Monument to the public, the park is hosting a day of speakers, guided hikes, fun family activities and birthday cake.
The Texas Regional office was instrumental in assisting the park to receive it’s designation as a national monument in 2015. Before the park received this national designation, it was opened to the public through the City of Waco in 2009.
