Susquehanna River Rally

Will you join us on the Susquehanna River on June 15 for a rally in front of the state Capitol?

On kayaks and canoes, we will wave our rally signs in the air, listen to guest speakers and get in a little paddling.

The Susquehanna River provides drinking water for more than 5 million people, serves as a large portion of the National Park Service’s Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail, and offers local communities abundant recreational opportunities. Unfortunately, our state has some of the most impaired streams in the nation. This river, and others across the state, are too important to our quality of life and our economy to allow our legislature to gut the very programs that protect it. This month, Pennsylvania lawmakers are gearing up to develop and pass a 2019 state budget. And, once again, the health of our rivers and streams may be up for negotiation.

That’s why our river-based rally on June 15 is so important. We need you with us as we raise our voices, paddles and rally signs to call for clean water leadership from the Pennsylvania legislature.
