EPA Public Hearing on the Affordable Clean Energy Rule

We want to make you aware of an upcoming chance to speak out against one of the greatest threats to national parks: climate change.

On October 1, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is holding the only public hearing in the country about its plans to weaken the Clean Air Act and replace the rule that would limit climate pollution from coal plants. We need as many people as possible to speak out against this proposal on behalf of the national parks we love.

Please don’t wait – the last day to pre-register is Monday, September 24! Register here as soon as possible.

Many of our national parks are facing enormous challenges as climate change brings extreme and unpredictable weather. Prized parks like Glacier and Saguaro risk losing their namesake features while others like Isle Royale struggle to support healthy wildlife populations that are threatened by warming temperatures.

Despite these risks, the Trump administration is gutting clean air rules – allowing polluters to put public health, our national parks and park experiences for future generations at risk.
