National Public Lands Day at Oxon Cove Park

Every year, thousands of Americans participate in the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort for public lands. This year, join the fun and help make a difference at Oxon Cove Park during their National Public Lands Day Cleanup!

Join NPS, NPCA and your fellow park-lovers as we clean up the trash that finds its way onto the banks of Oxon Cove. Spend your afternoon in the fresh air, getting some exercise and making a visible difference. Earn service hours needed for your organization.

Meet in the parking lot. We will take a tractor-drawn wagon ride down to Oxon Cove and work with other volunteers to pick up litter along the banks of the Potomac River.

Show up prepared to get dirty! Wear old clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet and muddy. Gloves and bags will be supplied. All ages are welcome, but everyone must register and anyone under 18 must be joined by an adult. Please be sure to bring a water bottle!

Pre-registration is required
