Join us at our Roadless Rule Comment Writing Party on September 8th from 4-6PM at Dan Bailey’s Outdoor Co. Refreshments will be provided and we will help community members navigate the comment writing process.
Here in Yellowstone’s northern gateway, Park County has more than one million acres of public land. Did you know that more than half of that land outside of designated wilderness is protected by the Roadless Rule—including all public lands in the Crazies, along with wild areas in the Gallatins and Absarokas? Without the Roadless Rule, hundreds of thousands of acres of public land in Park County would lose their primary protection against industrial development.
Right now, the Trump administration is moving to eliminate the Roadless Rule, a landmark conservation safeguard that protects 44.7 million acres of national forest land, including 6.4 million acres in Montana.
To defend these public lands, NPCA is partnering with local organizations like Park County Environmental Council and businesses like Dan Bailey’s Outdoor Company to connect people that care about these issues and want to help defend the Roadless Rule.
Please join your neighbors and friends to learn what’s at stake and take action to defend America’s wildest public lands.
