The national parks in Washington, D.C. are some of the most visited and symbolically significant public spaces anywhere in the world. The significance of the National Mall not only relates to its thoughtful, planned physical design but in its representation of our American heritage.
The scale of these proposals, across multiple national parks and landmarks, are a systematic demolishment of public lands and monuments. As the country marks its 250th anniversary, we must ensure our parks continue tell America’s full story and that they continue to be accessible for all. To do this, we need YOU!
