Zana joined NPCA in 2023 as the Southeast Outreach and Engagement Manager. She works to build relationships that connect communities to park units across the southeast.

Zana lives in Atlanta, GA where she’s worked as an environmental educator since 2015. After graduating with a degree in Environmental Sciences from Emory University, Zana worked for environmental nonprofits in Atlanta connecting diverse groups of youth to urban agriculture and ecology. In 2020 she was awarded the National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship for her commitment to providing accessible environmental education to students across the state of Georgia. A passionate nature lover, she believes living in an urban setting shouldn’t limit a person’s access to parks or greenspaces. This drives her pursuit of environmental advocacy and accessibility.

Depending on the weather, she’s usually taking care of her chickens and garden, practicing yoga, hiking, baking, or enjoying the city’s diverse music, art, and food.
