Rock Creek Park
Rock Creek Park is an expansive natural oasis in the midst of Washington, D.C. It includes the Rock Creek Valley and borders the Potomac River. The park has great public facilities and includes an outdoor concert and theatre venue, a tennis stadium, a planetarium, and a nature center. There are paved bicycle paths and foot and horse trails along Rock Creek and through the woodland. The park has an equestrian center that offers horseback riding lessons and guided trail rides. There is also a boat center that rents bikes, kayaks, canoes, sailboats and rowing shells. If you live in the D.C. area or are in the city as a visitor, the Rock Creek Park leaves no excuses to stay inside!

NPCA Recommends
Within the park is the historic Old Stone House, an 18th century home that is one of the oldest known buildings in D.C. and showcases the life of middle class colonial America. If you are on a walk through Georgetown, take a walk through this beautiful home and rest in its lovely English garden.
