A gorgeous outdoor adventure awaits you in Hawaii. Haleakala Park, located on the island of Maui, features volcano peaks, coastal rainforest, and premier backcountry trails. The extraordinary summit of the Haleakala Volcano is the highest peak on Maui and the Kipahulu Area of the Park preserves the remote and lush rainforest along the eastern coast of the island. The Wilderness Area of almost 25,000 acres has incredible hikes, both day and overnight, for you to enjoy.

Surreal is a word that comes to mind when I remember Haleakala. The stark contrast to the tropical paradise below is breathtaking. The dark, rusty colors of the crater were fascinating. I was amazed by the mass of this impressive mountain and how it always loomed over you as you were driving around it.

When I went to Haleakala, I was in Paradise. It was the best trip I have ever had. It is filled with fun packed activities that keep you moving every second. I cannot tell you how much I love Haleakala National Park.
