Patriots & Parks: An Evening with National Parks Conservation Association

Join National Parks Conservation Association for dinner and program about national parks' roles in the story of the American Revolution.

“In 1774, there was a marked escalation in the conflict between the mother country and her North American colonies, as rebel colonists formed a government separate from the crown and Parliament took military action against Massachusetts. It was a combustible time with rebels and redcoats provoking each other in Boston, Cambridge, Concord, and western MA.”

Join us to hear from historian Brooke Barbier about the pivotal events and figures from 250 years ago, as well as the way spaces, particularly those maintained by the National Park Service, played important roles in the American Revolution.

National Parks Conservation Association is a 104-year nonprofit that works to protect and enhance national park sites across the country. With the quickly approaching 250th anniversary of American independence, we are looking to our national parks and historic sites to tell the story of this important milestone.

We invite you to join us for a relaxed dinner and program this Saturday at the historic Concord Scout House.
