Land Based Trip Wilderness of Isle Royale Isle Royale National Park is a remote island of rugged wilderness in Lake Superior consisting of dense forests, rocky ridges and small lakes. Today, parks are using these funding infusions for projects addressing climate change’s impacts, from flooding to extreme heat.
