The Natchez Trace Parkway is a 444-mile roadway that winds through Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee and tells the stories of Native American Choctaw, and Chickasaw, as well as "Kaintuck"--boatmen who floated merchandise down rivers and spent days walking home after dismantling their boats.
