Americans have faced serious economic challenges in the last year. Thankfully, our national parks offer places of healing and reflection. So we hike in the Smokies to clear our heads. We gaze at wildlife in Yellowstone to connect to the natural world. And we wander the battlefield at Gettysburg to remind ourselves that we will overcome today’s challenges, because we’ve overcome hard times before.

NPCA’s mission to protect and preserve America’s natural, cultural, and historical places has never been more critical—and relevant—than it is right now. And thanks to park supporters like you, NPCA and its partners have made some terrific breakthroughs: Consider the Obama Administration’s economic stimulus plan, which will create thousands of jobs by investing nearly $1 billion in national park projects; and the massive Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009, which designates wilderness and protects historic landscapes in national parks across the country ...
