Major Step Forward in Clearing the Air in Our National Parks!
On April 19, 2007 Senators Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Tom Carper (D-DE) introduced legislation to clean up the four major pollutants from coal-fired power plants. The Clean Air/Climate Change Act of 2007 (Alexander) and the Clean Air Planning Act of 2007 (Carper) will provide healthier air to millions of Americans, clean up the air pollution plaguing our treasured public lands, and take an important first step towards reducing the threat of global warming.
