NPCA Presents: “More than a Mountain”

Date: October 2, 2008 to December 31, 2008

Location: Seattle, WA

Description:

A multi-faceted look at Mount Rainier by photographer Doug Hebenthal

The National Parks Conservation Association and Seattle photographer Doug Hebenthal are excited to present a photo exhibit featuring a multi-faceted look at Mount Rainier National Park through striking color images of landscapes and wildlife. Those who know the park usually default to images of a glacier-clad, stratovolcano looming on the horizon when they hear the words “Mount Rainier.” And yet Mount Rainier is also home to acres of wildflower-filled meadows, diverse wildlife, inland rainforests and historic structures. Visitors to the exhibition will also learn what they can do to help protect the future of this fragile place we call Mount Rainier National Park.

The exhibit is free.

Tuesday-Friday, 10-5; Saturday, 11-4
First Thursday Art Walks – Oct. 2 (show opening), Nov. 6, Dec. 4, 6-8 p.m

National Parks Conservation Association
Parks Information Center and Gallery
