Stop the Rewrite

Saturday February 18, 2006 was the last day to submit comments on the proposed changes to the national park management policies. Thank you to everyone who submitted comments, wrote their member of Congress and attended listening sessions around the country. The resounding message from thousands of NPCA activists, members and supporters was STOP THE REWRITE!

Although the comment period is over, the campaign still continues. Last week before the end of the comment period, the National Park Service announced plans for a new draft for circulation among park staff and leadership. NPCA will be keeping a close eye to ensure that the Park Service and Department of Interior allow full public involvement in the next phase of this process.
