Protecting the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway

Thanks to the tens of thousands of NPCA members and partners who took action and asked Congress to VOTE NO on a bill that would allow construction of a massive and costly freeway-style bridge at the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. Unfortunately, that bill passed and we may see a huge bridge, nearly as tall as the U.S. Capitol, tower over the river.

NPCA will continue to defend the park and hope that this terrible exemption to the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act doesn’t promote development at the more than 200 other rivers currently protected by this important law.
