Oregon Caves National Monument
Want to explore an underground cave? Would you like to try spelunking? The magical Oregon Caves National Monument, approximately 12 miles from Williams, Oregon, offers visitors the opportunity for an extensive underground adventure.
Visitors can tour these marble caves with a knowledgeable ranger. If you feel like more of a challenge, strap on a helmet and get muddy on the Off-Trail Cave Tour where rangers will teach you about caving techniques, etiquette, and conservation. Just be prepared to crawl, climb, and squeeze through these natural wonders, as all of tours the park offers are considered moderately strenuous.
Above ground you can also hike the monument’s trails through the beautiful old-growth forests of the Siskiyou Mountains.

NPCA Recommends
All of the cave tours are seasonal. Check ahead with the park before you go.
Don’t do the Off-Trail Cave Tour if you have a strong fear of tight or confined spaces. At one point on the tour, the ceiling is only a foot high.
