Curecanti National Recreation Area
Curecanti National Recreation Area in Colorado features three reservoirs with boundless opportunities for outdoor recreation. The Blue Mesa Reservoir is the largest body of water in Colorado, and the largest Kokanee salmon fishery in the country! Camp or hike along the shores of this beautiful reservoir or fly fish in its deep blue waters.
The Morrow Point Reservoir is a major source of hydroelectricity—explore it on the Morrow Point Boat Tour in a pontoon boat with a ranger guide. The Crystal Dam is the newest of the three. All of the reservoirs were created by dams on the Gunnison River.
