Capitol Hill Parks covers 70 parks in the District of Columbia around the Capitol and the surrounding neighborhoods. These parks are part of Pierre L'Enfant's original plan for the City of Washington. He created a design for the city in 1790. His plan included many green, open spaces which over time have evolved in the Capitol Hill Parks.

There are four "major" parks:

  • Folger Park
  • Lincoln Park
  • Marion Park 
  • Stanton Park

In addition, there are over 75 smaller parks in the form of inner-city triangles and squares:

  • Maryland Avenue Triangles
  • Pennsylvania Avenue Medians
  • Eastern Market Metro Station
  • Potomac Avenue Metro Station
  • Seward Square
  • Twining Square
