National Parks Conservation Association Celebrates Opening of Mount Rainier

Statement by NPCA Northwest Regional Director Sean Smith

"The National Parks Conservation Association is tremendously excited about the reopening of Mount Rainier.  The public has been waiting patiently since November for the day when they can get back into the park to camp, hike and climb," said Sean Smith, northwest regional director for the National Parks Conservation Association.  "However, much work still remains to be done, and we can use everyone's help in the repair and recovery effort."
