Statement by NPCA President Thomas C. Kiernan on National Park Service Deputy Director Appointment
- “As an example of his work both as Superintendent at Grand Teton and as Intermountain Regional Director Steve Martin has overseen the Grand Teton Transportation plan, which is poised to be model for the Park Service for enhancing visitors’ access and experiences while protecting the park’s resources. The National Parks Conservation Association believes he will be a strong Deputy Director, and commends Director Mainella for this appointment.”
