Lands' End/Airstream Auction Today on eBay Benefits National Parks Group
"We chose the National Parks Conservation Association because of the great work they do to help preserve such an important part of America's heritage," said Marcia Tabler, vice president of Creative Operations at Lands' End.
"This beautiful trailer will provide a family with many memorable national park vacations," said National Parks Conservation Association President Thomas Kiernan. "The auction proceeds will help us protect the parks for others to enjoy as well—present and future generations."
The online auction runs for one week starting today. The Airstream 2001 Bambi model trailer has a retail value of $30,139 as equipped. The Coming Home division of Lands' End has outfitted the trailer with "everything from hand towels to sleeping bags." Complete auction information is available at www.landsend.com or at eBay Motors at www.ebaymotors.com.
Airstream intends to donate its half of the auction proceeds to the Nature Conservancy.
Lands' End is a global direct merchant of classically inspired clothing for men, women, and children, and of soft luggage and products for the home, sold through regular mailings of its catalog and through its Web site, www.landsend.com.
