Who We Are

NPCA's West Virginia Field Office is located in Oak Hill, a gateway community for the New River Gorge National River. We focus our efforts on park advocacy, garnering local support for the national parks, and working with community leaders and stakeholders to protect the unique character of our national parks in West Virginia. If you have any questions -- or want to help -- please get in touch with our office.

Threats to Mid-Atlantic Parks

These extraordinary places are under relentless pressure from threats ranging from inappropriate development, non-native and aggressive plants and animals, air and water pollution sometimes originating hundreds of miles away, critical and chronic funding shortfalls, and the impacts of climate change. With your involvement, NPCA works in the Mid-Atlantic region to ensure that our national parks are fully protected, fully funded, and cherished as local treasures as well as national jewels.
