View stunning images of the Flathead River Valley, which spans Glacier National Park in the United States, and Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada. While the valley is exceptionally wild and scenic, its waters and wildlife are being threatened by proposed mining in Canada outside park boundaries.

The United Nations’ World Heritage Committee is currently investigating the threat to the parks, which together form Waterton-Glacier Peace Park and a World Heritage Site.
