Washington, D.C. – Bill Resor, land management consultant and cattle rancher in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA). The board is the governing body for the nonprofit organization, which is the nation’s leading voice for national parks.
“Bill Resor has shown great dedication to NPCA and the national parks from the first time he was elected as a trustee 20 years ago,” said NPCA President Tom Kiernan. “We are thrilled to have him back on our board helping to protect our national parks, which he so deeply cares about.”
For over 30 years, Resor has been involved in the management of the Snake River Ranch and other lands in Jackson Hole for agricultural, conservation, and development purposes.
Resor was an NPCA trustee from 1988 to 1995, and has since served on NPCA’s Northern Rockies Regional Council and National Council. He is a member of the Wyoming Stock Growers Association board of directors. He is also a former trustee of the Jackson Hole Land Trust, as well as chairman and former trustee of the Teton Science Schools.
Since 1919, the nonpartisan National Parks Conservation Association has been the leading voice of the American people in the fight to safeguard our National Park System. NPCA, its members, and partners work together to protect the park system and preserve our nation’s natural, historical, and cultural heritage for generations to come.
