National Parks Conservation Association Congratulates Senator Barrasso on Appointment to Senate Parks Subcommittee

Press Statement by Thomas C. Kiernan, President, National Parks Conservation Association

"NPCA congratulates Wyoming’s newly appointed Senator John Barrasso for his appointment to the National Parks Subcommittee of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.

"With magnificent national parks that play a key role in the state’s economy and quality of life, Wyoming has a long history of providing the subcommittee with statesmen and visionary leaders who understand the importance of preserving these irreplaceable national treasures for the benefit of all Americans.

"We look forward to working closely with Senator Barrasso in seeking practical, consensus-building solutions to the many and varied challenges and opportunities facing national parks in the region and across the country."
