"America's Heritage: For Sale" Teleconference

April 9, 2008

Three speakers from the National Parks Conservation Association led this press briefing about the 1.8 million acres of critical lands that need to be acquired within the boundaries of the national parks to ensure their protection. In particular, NPCA's new report highlights 55 national parks with land within their borders for sale this year, and calls on Congress and the next Administration to provide at least $100 million from the Land and Water Conservation Fund this year, with additional funding each year through the park system centennial in 2016.
