Yosemite in the Springtime

This is a picture of my Mom-in-Law & Me at the Tunnel Vista View to Yosemite. It is her First Time at Yosemite & she was awed by the Grandeur of this most Perfect of God’s Beloved Valleys. As Native Californians my Family & my Husband have been to Yosemite many time, but always in the Summer. This was my 1st Time in the Spring & all the Snow Melt of this year had the Falls & the Merced River gushing with Mist! & Most Enchanting was the Dogwood in Full Bloom…So Lovely! We stayed at the hotel that is right next to the Merced there in El Portal & had a balcony River View. It was so nice to enjoy coffee & breakfast with only the River & the hills in our view & the sound of the river rushing by. & Watching the ducks fly up & down & sometimes floating down the river was most entertaining. My husband & I also brought our bikes to enjoy a nice ride on the Valley Floor & up to Mirror Lake & along the new wider paths to Lower Yosemite Falls. The Mist there was invigorating! I felt so alive! This was by far one of the most Enjoyable Visits to Yosemite in years! I was so pleased to at last share it with my Loves Mom! We are both Breast Cancer Survivors so Each & Every Day is Blessed…but these were Magical! ^_^
