The Diving Board

A shot of Half-dome from the diving board in Yosemite National Park, CA. The story behind the photo is quite unique. Colin Delehanty and I are working on a new timelapse film for Project Yosemite, which will take viewers all across the park through the seasons, and see the grandeur as we see it. This particular adventure was to the diving board in Winter with creatives at The Muir Project. The goal was to capture timelapses overlooking the granite faces and valley floor, but in the break of darkness, I took the time to pause and capture what our view was like. I can tell you we were cold, as it was a chilly night near 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Yet, the wind was calm, and the sound of waterfalls echoed the area. However, the joy and experience was worth every minute in the freeze, and we'd do it all over again to relive the adventure!
