I am an official National Park Service Photographer. A big part of my job is to capture moments of people appreciating our national parks. I am the photographer and the NPS owns the copyright to this picture. It has been made public domain and thus I have the right to give you permission to use it. This image captures a boy pulling the firing pin of a cannon during the sesquicentennial of the Battle of Malvern Hill.
Richmond National Battlefield Park commemorates the importance of the city as the capital of the Confederacy during the Civil War. The park consists of 10 units. Visitors can start their tour with the visitor center at the old site of the Tredegar Iron Works.
