I am an official National Park Service Photographer. A big part of my job is to capture moments of people appreciating our national parks. I am the photographer and the NPS owns the copyright to this picture. It has been made public domain and thus I have the right to give you permission to use it. This image captures students drilling ass new recruits during the sesquicentennial of the Battle of Shiloh.
Shiloh National Military Park is a stark reminder of the terrible cost of war. Tour the battlefield where 23,746 men were killed, wounded, or declared missing on April 6-7, 1862.
