Alaska So Wild

By Mary Branch
January 13, 2012

In 2005 I visited Alaska, first by cruise through the inside passage, then on land up through the north country. It was a life changing experience. Much like my later visit to Africa that year. My feelings for wildlife came forth and made me very much protective of them. I loved being in a place where animals seem to come first and own the land. It was amazing. I hope it stays that way and the politics of big game huntiing do not destroy our wildlife. I do not want our parks being a playground for hunters. They are the ones who do not belong there.
