Kudos to Seth Shteir

Since moving out to the Mojave Desert of Southern California in 2007, I have witnessed our desert come under constant attach. One stalwart and devoted defender of our National Parks and Preserves in this area is Seth Shteir, the California Desert Field Representative for NPCA. I've been repeatedly impressed with how active and vocal he has been in defending our desert against local threats from such ill-conceived projects, such as the Cadiz Company's water plunder and the falsely named "Green Path" project of Southern Cal Edison, and the way he teams with other conservation groups in this area. I selectively give to non-profit organizations who are visibly and actively making a difference in my local area and I can say with certainty that, because of the valiant efforts of Mr. Shteir, the National Parks Conservation Association truly makes a difference and serves as a watchdog for our precious California desert.
