Family Camping Tradition

By Sue Smith
March 23, 2013

Our kids grew up in the National Parks along the Blue Ridge Parkway! We started camping in tents, graduated to pop ups and then to travel trailers! None of us were allowed anything electronic while in the parks. Now grown our kids can't think of anyplace they'd rather be for vacations than Julian Price Campground, Pisgah Campground and others along the Blue Ridge Parkway. You learn about the world around you in the basically natural surroundings of the national parks. My son's family and their 2 young daughters are now our next generation of walking the paths and trails in a land they would otherwise never know.
