A Place That Holds My Heart

By Emma O'Connor
October 12, 2013

I donated to the National Parks Conservation Association because of my love for the parks, most specifically Glacier National Park. As an Iowan, my first experiences in the mountains were nothing but amazing, every breath of fresh air was so refreshing and they instantly stole my heart. Not only is Glacier an amazing park, but every other park as well. They are special places in our country and they deserve to be well-funded and stay open. In light of the government shut down, I want to do anything I can to support the parks. I'm proud to say my love for the parks is strong, and that even the small things I do hopefully make a difference.
