Help Restore the Rappahannock!

KayaksJoin us as we help clean up and restore the Rappahannock River, part of the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail, in Port Royal on Saturday, October 12.

The Rappahannock is one of the Chesapeake’s most scenic rivers, with lovely creeks, tall sandstone bluffs, and broad marshes. The section of the river we will be restoring is a part of the most important roosting and nesting areas for bald eagles on the entire Atlantic coast of the United States!

WHAT: Help Restore the Rappahannock!

WHEN: Saturday, October 12 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

WHERE: 100 King Street, Port Royal, Virginia 22535

WHO: Friends of the Rappahannock, NPCA, and the U.S. Coast Guard
