What keeps travelers coming back to the Rocky Mountains again and again? This breathtaking expanse is filled with natural treasures and rich experiences, often encompassed in two of the shining jewels of the national park system – Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Referred to as the “American Serengeti,” this expanse is one of the most successful wildlife sanctuaries in the world, with a full range of
predators and prey.
Each season brings its own unique twist to the area. Experience the exquisite beauties in winter – wildlife surviving in a frozen and surreal and otherworldly landscape. Witness fawns, calves, pups, and cubs cavorting as the world comes to life with Spring’s first breath. Summer’s sights are nearly endless – plentiful elk and bison, splashy whitewater, spouting geysers, colorful hot springs, bubbling mud pots, and awe-striking views of massive rumbling waterfalls and towering jagged peaks. In the fall, bears forage intensely to prepare for hibernation and bull elk bugle their eerie mating call.
