What Our Travelers Say

Registration

Responsible Tourism

We cannot deny that travel leaves an “environmental footprint” and that travel to our national parks is no exception. However, by incorporating environmentally responsible tourism principles, NPCA creates ParkScapes tours that reduce negative impacts associated with travel and increase positive impacts through stewardship.

Using the following best practices, NPCA strives to be a strong model for responsible travel.

Using Highly Trained and knowledgeable guides and NPCA staff leaders to enrich your national park experience.

Partnering with Tour Operators that focus on creating benefits for local communities and the national parks.

Encourageing Environmental Responsibility with our tour program partners, such as limiting group size, using fuel-efficient vehicles, and investing in carbon offsets.

Educating our Travelers about responsible behavior with the parks, as well as the threats that exist both to the park they are visiting and to all parks within the National Park System.

Empowering our Members for action on behalf of our national parks by creating opportunities to contribute toward park research, park funding, and park protection.
