Rocky Mountain National Park
Rocky Mountain National Park is a small but rich sampling of the larger mountain range that stretches from New Mexico, up through the western United States, and on to Canada. The park, located 75 miles northwest of Denver, Colorado, sits on wet grasslands at 8,000 feet above sea level; its tallest, craggy peak tops out at 14,259 feet.
