Park Champions
Ken Burns' film tells the stories of American citizens who fought to protect our most precious places - our national parks. But the story doesn't end with Burns' film. The story continues today, as individual Americans continue the fight to protect parks big and small around the country. They aren't looking for fame or fortune, and the work isn't glamorous. They devote their lives to these parks because they understand that parks are the soul of America, telling our diverse stories and teaching valuable lessons about our shared heritage, from the Underground Railroad and Buffalo Soldiers in Yosemite to the San Antonio Missions and Big Hole National Battlefield.
