NPCA Presents: Alaska National Parks Discovery Series: Lake Clark's Dena'ina Trails: A Historic And Intimate View

The National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) is proud to host the second season in an exciting new lecture series to introduce residents to Alaska’s 15 national parks, monuments, and preserves, which encompass two-thirds the total acreage of America’s National Park System. A diverse array of Alaskan speakers will share personal stories inspired by Alaska’s national parks. From Katmai’s world-renowned brown bears to Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve, the series will highlight recreational opportunities, significant historical and cultural sites, and the role parks play as a driving force for Alaska’s economy.

John Branson, NPS Historian, and Dan Oberlatz of Alaska Alpine Adventure reveal traditional and modern views of trails across Lake Clark National Park & Preserve, explored first as travel routes of the Dena'ina Athabascan people and rediscovered by today's intrepid adventurers.

The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
